Paintings of gallery business cards with short acidic jokes
at the art world’s expense. This could easily be my favorite thing ever. Maybe
it’s that I choose to invest lots of my free time writing about art, and maybe
I am the target audience for this kind of thing, but it is hard to deny that
Gingrow is pretty damn funny and making art that so aggressively mocks the art
world is either brave or overly calculated. Either way, it got some audible
laughter out of me at the opening. So I am just going to let the work speak for
itself.
Through Sept. 1st
