Olivo Barbieri, The Dolomites Project @ Yancey Richardson Gallery


Barbieri makes impressive aerial views from hovering along giant mountaintops, often showing glimpses of trekkers on the paths below. Unfortunately, Barbieri has chosen to take chunks of the pictures and digitally torque the colors to the point that they get inverted and fantastical. The technique very quickly overtakes the images, making the enjoyment hinge on your tolerance for Photoshop. I assume it will sell well and age very poorly.
