Reunited and feels so good…. Man, poor Ruscha, he makes some funny critical work that calls into question the predominate thinking on photography at the time. Though photography could and should enlighten the viewer with clear honest pictures of the world, Ruscha made dry off-handed pictures that conveyed little to no insight about anything. And how is he rewarded? By being condemned for the rest of art history into being in shows of people making boring pictures for much less compelling reasons.
