I find it embarrassing to be enjoying Todd Hido. Landscapes seen through rain-soaked car windows, houses at night bathed in distorted light, and naked hipsters in motel rooms. Yup, color me ashamed. The pictures all have a very general noir ambience that doesn’t go anywhere. They are all attractive dark surfaces with the occasional nudity. But like losing yourself a tad too long in front of an American Apparel, the show is enjoyable in its emptiness.
