James Casebere, House @ Sean Kelly Gallery

Good to see Casebere making relevant photographs again. He could have easily have kept on drifting into the comfortable predictability of a William Wegman or David Levinthal. There could have been another ten coffee table photo books of models of historic architecture. But he has salvaged his reputation with a smart series of brightly colored models of sunny landscapes, filled with suburban homes all dripping in an up beat candy-colored palate. With a complex mix of sarcasm and delusion, the photographs depict landscapes that have recently destroyed our economy.

Through Dec. 4th
